Some remark, "you never go out." By "out" they mean go to my local for a pint or two. I inwardly smile. Going out to your local for a pint, isn't that just "going out" to go back in?
They don't know about the Lady of the Stream nor rivers that meander through tree lined meadows, and although they hold a good head of brown trout, reveal little of the true beauty that hide beneath its even flow.
Once you've done it, fish for Grayling that is, you develop an attachment for places that most would consider, well, lonely places, places of solitude and contemplation. To the untrained eye I suppose they are, but to the fisherman, the fly-fisherman, they are places of exultation ...blah,blah and blah. I could go on, but I'm bored now.
